Nellie graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in anthropology and studio art. She loves to be outside in nature, hiking, rock climbing, or just reading a good book. She has been gardening since she was a little kid. For the last six years, Nellie has been working and learning about different aspects of the gardening and landscaping industry, from propagation to design. She particularly enjoys pruning, planting, and propagating. She is also very interested in sustainability, New England native plants, and humans’ relationship and impact on the environment around us. Nellie is visually attuned to details in the gardens, while also thinking about its future. She believes there is always more to learn, and patience and trying new things are key parts of gardening.
