Bella Sarno

Isabella Sarno, also known as Bella, will be starting her third season with Ground Flora this year. Originally from Phoenix, AZ, she completed four AmeriCorps service terms (conservation fieldwork) in Flagstaff, AZ and graduated from Phoenix College in 2022 with an Associate’s Degree in Sustainability and Environmental Studies.

She began working as a fine gardener during 2019 in Flagstaff while completing her studies. Moving to New England in 2022 after graduating, she worked in environmental education and organic agriculture in NH and MA respectively before returning to fine gardening with Ground Flora in 2024. Bella was recently accredited in March 2026 as a Rhode Island Certified Horticulturist through the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscape Association.
